Dr. Patrice Smith was born and raised on the beautiful island of Jamaica where she attended Northern Caribbean University (NCU) and received her Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She then attended Medgar Evers College of the City University of New York (CUNY) where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Smith went on to receive her dental degree from Howard University in Washington, DC. While completing her doctoral education at Howard, she participated in many volunteer/community service and outreach efforts, held several leadership positions, was on the Dean’s list all four years and ranked among the top of her class.
Dr. Smith then went on to complete her Orthodontics Residency at Howard University. Her hard work and dedication positioned her to become the Chief Resident of her Orthodontics program where she graduated top of her class. Dr. Smith’s determination and high standards were recognized through the numerous awards she’s received such as the Orthodontic Postdoctoral award in Biomechanics and a superior post-doctoral research award. Though she always strives to raise the bar personally and professionally through serious endeavors, her vibrant personality shines through as she helps bring out her patients inner light in their newly minted smiles. When Dr. Smith is not at the office she enjoys travelling, yoga, hiking, reading a great book and spending time with family and close friends.
