Elastics
Elastics need to be worn 24 hours a day. They should be taken out only to brush. For best results, change the elastics 2-3 times daily. It’s not unusual for you to experience soreness for the first few days just as you did when your braces were first put on. The soreness will go away only if the elastics are worn 24 hours a day. Stopping and starting elastic wear will make the teeth sore and no progress will be made.
We keep a supply of elastics in our office and we will supply you with them for as long as you are required to wear them.
